Camera array image rectification and calibration for stereoscopic and autostereoscopic displays

Vincent Nozick
Gaspard Monge Institute, Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée, France

Abstract This paper presents an image rectification method for an arbitrary number of views with aligned camera center. This paper also describes how to extend this method to easily perform a robust camera calibration. These two techniques can be used for stereoscopic rendering to enhance the perception comfort or for depth from stereo.» Read the summary

DEC-MAC: delay- and energy-aware cooperative medium access control protocol for wireless sensor networks

Abstract This paper deals with two critical issues in wireless sensor networks: reducing the end-to-end packet delivery delay and increasing the network lifetime through the use of cooperative communications. Here, we propose a delay- and energy-aware cooperative medium access control (DEC-MAC) protocol, which trades off between the packet delivery delay and a node’s energy consumption while selecting a cooperative relay node.» Read the summary

Design rules for chipless RFID tags based ont multiple scatterers

Arnaud Vena, Etienne Perret and Smail Tedjini

Grenoble-INP/LCIS, Valence, France

Abstract In this paper, we present some design rules to create a chipless RFID tag that encodes the information in the frequency domain. Some criterions are introduced to make the best choice concerning the elementary scatterers that act like signal processing antennas. The performance of several scatterers will be compared before a study on the radiating properties of a versatile C-like scatterer.» Read the summary

Simple precoding algorithms using Gram–Schmidt orthonormalization process for multiuser relay communications with optimized power allocation

Hamid Meghdadi, Jean-Pierre Cances and Vahid Meghdadi
University of Limoges, France

Abstract This paper proposes a new simple precoding solution based on the Gram–Schmidt orthonormalization to be used at the relay station of a multirelay wireless networks where the different mobile stations belong to the same network, in order to mitigate the multiuser interference at each mobile station. The strength of this method is that it only requires the knowledge of all channel impulse responses from a given relay to all the mobile stations.» Read the summary
